Job Evaluation


In almost all the companies,organizations evaluate their employees and worth of that job.

The entire process starts with a creation of new role or requirement in any company where an employee is required to do a specific work for e.g a carpenter required for furniture company
Now its decided that this role or person is required leaded to HR department which is contacted and given go ahead for Job Evaluation

Job Evaluation is the method for determining the relative worth of a job and then apply the wage structure appropriately.

There are various Techinques used by HR like  Quantitative and Non Quantitative like Factor comparison method Point Rating System Job Ranking Job Grading etc

Most important question is why Job Evaluation is done ?
Job Evaluation is done by HR Department of an organization to know the job in very detail knowing the Job Description & specification.
