Inside the JSP container there is a special Servlet called the "page controller".The Servlet container forward to this page compiler all the HTTP requests with URLs that are having .jsp extension.This "page compiler"
turns the Servlet container into a JSP container.

When a .jsp pages is first called,the page compiler parses and compiles the .jsp page into a Servlet class.If the compilation is successful the jsp Servlet class is loaded into memory.On subsequent calls,the Servlet class which is already in memory is generated as response.

Heard about JDBC or exploring it.Let see it.

What is JDBC ?

JDBC or JAVA Database Connectivity is Java application programming interface that allows the programmers or developers to access database by writing code in java.It was developed by Java soft.

What does JDBC provides ?

JDBC provides a method for querying and updating the data in RDBMS such as SQL oracle etc The Java API also provides method for dynamically loading the concerned package and drivers These drivers must be registered in JDBC driver manager.This is nothing but the backbone of JDBC architecture.It is responsible for creating JDBC connnections for performing various operations with the database such as insert,update,delete

What are important step of JDBC.

If we like to access a database a database application we must follow few steps as below

1. Loading a database driver
2. Creating a connection
3. Creating a statement
4. Creating a result-set (If required)

Java Beans is a software component which is actually designed to be reusable in different environments.As far as I have noticed there is no capability restriction for it.

It can perform different types of functions Simple or Complex both.

How to use the Java Beans
what you need to have is the Java Bean Development Kit to use the same.

What is JSP exactly ?

Java server Pages are very much similar to ASP or Active server pages so they are used for designing dynamic web pages in a faster enhanced and information rich content.

JSP or Java server pages allows us to rapidly web based applications that are platform independent.

Is JSP an extension for Java Servlet ?

Yes Java Server Pages or JSP is an extension of Java Servlet Technology.

STRUTS is a framework that promotes the use of the model view controller architecture for designing large scale applications.

How to Access Yahoo Mail on Microsoft Outlook

There are various possibilities to access yahoo mail on clients like microsoft outlook and it is really nice to have our PC.

The biggest advantage is not to enter user name password everytime and get it accessed over IE or firefox etc.

Moreover we all know that there are plenty of excellent features to use microsoft outlook software

We see here the steps we can use to access or configure the yahoo on outlook.

Remember you need to have this software or microsoft outlook already installed on your PC or Windows OS first

Now open the outlook via the shortcut or using the START button on your windows Operating System.

Now as you can see in the above screen the values required are your name id and password just enter them as your ease

Now after you provided the values just click the NEXT button and this will try to connect to yahoo server with your email ID and password

Note Please make sure you are connected to Internet this time.

After sometime this get connected and you get the message like this

As you can see above the Yahoo mail for your ID is configured to be used on your PC using the Microsoft .
 Outlook.

Thus above the short and easy steps to configure the yahoo mail over outlook.

Formatting in Excel -> Part 3

We have already covered so far how to make cell Bold and Bordering in Part1

how to make the cell filled with Color and change the Text Color in Part 2

In this part we are going to explore how to make the Cell content change with the required FONT type choose the cell as shown

 

 Now click on the Font Column and choose the required value from dropdown

Thus making or choosing the above value convert the Text of choosen column to Times New Roman font

Thus above steps helps us to convert the text FONT in our choosen cells

if we want to choose the entire worksheet just click on the corner as shown

Thus by clicking on the highlighted corner the entire worksheet is highlighted now we can click on the Font to choose the required value not only that we can also make the Text Size as shown for entire selected sheet

 

The final output with required selected FONT SIZE and FONT is shown below

The above steps shows the way to change the Font and its size in the excel for entire sheet or few selected cells.

how to make bold and border of cell let us explore more features

We have our activities defined in excel as shown below

Now to make the the ITEM and PRICE Header of our excel filled with color do the the following

click on ITEM & PRICE Cell as shown

Now click on the ICON as shown for filling and choose your required color

now this will make our cells filled with color as shown

Thus to make color different of Text choose the cell and click on the icon as shown

This will convert our Header Text Color to the choosen color as shown below

Above steps cover the way to change the Cell color and Text color.

As we can notice that we can change the color of Cell Background and also the Text color so easily we can also change the font size too which we explore later

Formatting in Excel -> Part 1

Based upon usage we can always make good looking database in excel i.e well arranged and easy to read

say for e.g we have done certain entries in excel as shown below

Eventhough we can see the Column header as ITEM and PRICE with TOTAL as the overall sum for the values of price but this sheet is very normal and don't look nice it is good but we can make it nice as follows

Just choose the cell ITEM & PRICE as shown below

Now to make them BOLD in excel just click on the B icon ass shown

This will cause them to make Bold of our Header as shown

As we can see the Header are now BOLD and beautiful so lets go to next thing we want to do

Let us make them highlighted  with a border as we text only in few columns and not all to do that select the cell as shown

Now click on Border key and choose as shown

This will make our Cells all bordered as want them

Thus above are 2 special formatting features which we do in our daily routine activities in excel including Bold and Border making we explore more soon.

How To Manage Daily Activities in Excel

We all do plenty of transactions daily or in other words buy or sell something.

It is always better to have track all the expenditures we did in excel but the point,how to calculate the values
excel provides plenty of good features like autosum etc

say for e.g we have recorded some of the things we bought in with price now we want to calculate the sum of it

we can do so as below
first list all the items with price as shown below

Now as we can see that in the second column we have the all values of all items and we want to calculate is sum to do that we can proceed as below

Click on the B8 Box and goto Fx line here right the values as shown 

Now press enter key the values from B2 to B7 column will be added to calculate the sum with formula and shown in Total line or column B8 as we wanted as shown

Now this will is very easy right  but I am going to show one more way to achieve the auto sum for all the item

Another way to achieve our SUM goal in excel sheet is the quick short cut way

Just click and choose all the cell we want to add and on extra where we want output as shown in the below figure

now we can see the cells highlighed with extra cell where we want sum of above cells and then click on the autosum next to Filter button and SUM is shown as below

Thus above the very easy ways of achieving the goal of adding values in excel for calculations

How to calculate Date in Excel or create Date Formula

Hi

This blog explores certain features which I used in my daily routine work might be useful to you all.

I uses normally excel sheet as my internal database of all the activities or daily routine like taking care of expenses etc.


e.g many times we need to add/subtract dates to a particular date say for e.g
i bought a tv which is getting expired in 30days so to calculate the end date i can have something like this

Now since we know that intial date is 31 july 2011 and we need  to calculate expiry date which is after say 30 days we choose the B2 box and goto Fx line  as shown

Thus we can see the formula is added by addition of 30 days to the A2 box values which is our intial date

Thus it calculate automatically 30 days to our intial date.


Above is a very simple example to know how to calculate dates in Excel sheet with formula so if we know the intial date we can create a formulate for calculating upcoming date in excel as shown in above steps easily

This is one of the most important question we are asking to each other that which browser is better

Internet Explorer
Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome

etc

To be really frank its difficult to say which one is the best because everyone has it own advantanges and disadvantages

if you choose google chrome you need to download it from web but it has plenty of good features like the place where we write URL or unique resource locator information i.e. website address

we get directly our choose search engine by default

which is not in mozilla firefox

In firefox we get the search engine next to URL or website address.

Currently google gadgets or tools are not integrated as they are with Firefox where we can download and install 100 or 1000 of good functionalities or gadgets to use with firefox.

Again these will be coming with google chrome sooner or later as remember till the time there is competition in the market we always get good things whether it is
IE or Internet Explorer
Mozilla firefox
Google Chrome

Thus above is very small example and that shows the difference between these two.
