Learn/How to Change start date for Project in MS Project 2013 tool or mpp- Manually Scheduled Task/Automatically Scheduled Task

Like the way we have explore in the last post about how to create Project in MS Project 2010 or 2013.

How to Create Project in MS Project Tool
So Let say we need to change the date for our Project like below covering all the step by step procedure with screenshots.

Click on the Project Tab and then we have an option known as Project Information.

Clicking and choosing this will produce below pop up.

Now we can easily click on start date column and calendar will open and we can choose the real start date for the project or as per plan.

Now we just choose, let say 4th May 2015 as we know 1st May 2015 is always a holiday(normally) so select it and press ok button.

But as shown above the date for task is not updated as we have the option of Manually scheduled task.

Thus once we changed the Manually Scheduled Task to Automatically scheduled Task the entire Project and all it task are shifted according to Project Start Date.
